About Me

Hi, I'm Daniel (or, if you're comfortable with Umlaute, Dänu) from Switzerland. I mainly use this page to keep track of projects and publications I am or have been involved in.

I have a background (BSc) in computer science and (MSc) biology / bioinformatics, and am currently a cheminformatics PhD student in the Reymond Research Group at the University of Bern. In addition, I did a 4 year apprenticeship as an informatician and have worked as an systems specialist and application developer.

In my spare time, I like to play squash or hockey, try not to break any bones skateboarding, and listening to and playing (although badly) music. And by music I mean punk rock. I also enjoy, almost exclusively, science fiction books, movies, and TV shows.

I'm interested in science, particularly in Biology, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Maths, and History.
